Charges were issued for two men after about $60,000 worth of property was reported stolen from a home on Brown Mountain Beach Road.
Calvin Wayne Bowen, 45, of Lenoir, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to a release from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
Derrick Baylee Robinson, 25, has charges pending for larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm and breaking and entering, the release said.
The property owners made a report on Oct. 10 about the stolen property, which they believed was taken around Oct. 4, the release said.
Deputies later received information from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office that led them to Bowen’s home in Lenoir. On Oct. 17, deputies found an ATV in the driveway that matched the description of one stolen from the home, the release said.

Law officers obtained a search warrant for the home and recovered a significant amount of the stolen property, the release said.
Deputies have since found 80 stolen items, worth about $50,000, the release said.
Bowen was charged on Oct. 17. His bond was set at $80,000 secured, the release said.
